Mavs' Luka Doncic says he didn't address media after loss due to injury treatment
Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Mavericks forward Luka Doncic spurned the media after Wednesday’s loss to the Denver Nuggets, but says there was a legitimate reason.

Doncic said on Thursday that he did not address reporters post-game because he was getting treatment for some minor injuries.

“I had some problems with my toe and knee, so I had to take care of it,” said Doncic, per Dwain Price of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. The 20-year-old star also added that he was doing fine now.

Doncic had a frustrating end to the 107-106 nail-biter. He went scoreless in the fourth quarter and was swarmed on the final possession of the game, leading to the Mavericks being unable to get a shot off.

The Slovenian star has done this before in recent months, and it probably speaks to his competitiveness or to his youth, depending on your perspective.
