Despite having an amazing off-court life, Thompson is facing challenges on the court. He is currently coming off the bench for the Mavericks, averaging 11.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. Meanwhile, the Mavericks are struggling, sitting in 12th place in the Western Conference standings with a 19-35 record.
