The Memphis Grizzlies can put up a successful season in the 2025-26 NBA campaign. Here’s how the Grizzlies can succeed in the coming months.

The Memphis Grizzlies Can Have Success

The Memphis Grizzlies can put up a successful season in 2025-26. According to Grind City Media’s Michael Wallace, Memphis reportedly has “measured optimism,” but it’s unclear if it’s “brimming over the edge.” Wallace added that the Grizzlies’ hesitancy is for a good reason due to the fact that Memphis tumbled down the stretch after rising to second place in the Western Conference.

Since the conclusion of the 2024-25 NBA season and postseason, Memphis traded Guard Desmond Bane, added three rookies in the 2025 NBA Draft, and made a couple of moves in free agency to improve the supporting cast around Point Guard Ja Morant.

Memphis Grizzlies’ Outlook

The Memphis Grizzlies’ outlook appears to be up in the air. Morant’s elite talent and ability to take over games can help the Grizzlies become one of the most unstoppable forces in the NBA. However, if Morant, 26, doesn’t play 65+ games in 2025-26, Memphis’ season can go haywire as Jaren Jackson Jr., 25, is just one-half of the NBA’s young and rising duos since four seasons ago.

The problem is that Morant and Jackson Jr. have averaged 40 or fewer games a season since then. Without the duo’s success, Memphis’ potential to become a contender may be diminished, and Memphis might need to take a different approach if one or both of them suffer another injury.

Final Thoughts

The Memphis Grizzlies can get off to a fast start and never look back. The Grizzlies need to hope for a speedy recovery from Jackson Jr. and Zach Edey for offseason toe surgery and ankle surgery rehab, respectively. Also, Memphis needs to establish early momentum, build chemistry, and become versatile on offense.
