Miami Heat Announce Concerning Andrew Wiggins News

The Miami Heat have picked up some form recently, winning two games on the trot. They need to continue on this trajectory.

A playoff spot is not completely out of reach yet, even though the Heat have played like a play-in team for the majority of the season.

Their next game is against the New York Knicks and unfortunately, they have been handed a double before the game.

Both Andrew Wiggins and Jaime Jaquez Jr have been ruled out of the game against the Knicks with ankle issues.

Wiggins has had an on-and-off start since arriving in Miami as part of the trade that saw Jimmy Butler join the Golden State Warriors.

Wiggins had missed the last game against the Indiana Pacers as well. And unfortunately, we won't see him line up against the Knicks either.

That is a big miss for the Heat, as Wiggins has been playing well. For Miami, he has averaged 17.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.2 assists. Of course, it is a small sample size but there is a lot to be positive about regardless.

Jaquez's sophomore year in the league has not been nearly as impressive as his rookie one, as he has been struggling for game time despite the Heat's patchy form throughout the season.

The Knicks are one of the best teams in the East and potential title contenders. So, taking them on without Wiggins and Jaquez could prove to be a difficult task for the Heat.

Once again, all eyes will be on Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo while the others will hopefully step up to the plate as well.
