Miami Heat Legend Dwyane Wade Addresses Bam Adebayo's Historic Night

The NBA is still recovering from Bam Adebayo's shocking 83-point shooting during the Miami Heat's 150-129 win against the Washington Wizards. His record surpassed Kobe Bryant's 81-point outburst against the Toronto Raptors in January 2006, and Wilt Chamberlain's 100-point game in 1962 is the only single-game point tally more impressive than his.

What makes the achievement all the more impressive is how Adebayo isn't known as a prolific scorer. While his 20 PPG is solid production, his 32.9% 3FG doesn't make him a household name among volume scorers.

His 10,084 career points in the Heat organization is impressive, but the 28-year-old's point tally is leagues behind Dwyane Wade's top spot at 21,556.

Like everyone in the NBA space, The Flash shared his honest thoughts on his former teammate's historic night, and his message is nothing short of sweet.

"I'm PROUD of his individual accomplishment!" he said in a message.

He then went on to discuss how the entire Heat roster reacted to the Kentucky product's historic night. "I'm more proud of how his teammates rallied around him to make sure this night was historic for him! That's why he's the Cap! Salute and Respect to my lil bro."

Wade had a legendary career, winning three championships during his tenure with the Heat. He averaged 22.7 PPG, 4.7 RPG, 5.6 APG and 1.6 SPG.
