The Minnesota Timberwolves bowed out of the 2025 NBA Playoffs with their 124-94 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, ending what was a season to remember for coach Chris Finch's team.
The Timberwolves failed to advance past the Conference Finals for the second straight season, losing 4-1 for the second straight year after falling 4-1 to the Mavericks in 2023-24.
Prior to the game, longtime NBA analyst and well known sports personality Michelle Beadle shared her thoughts on a controversy surrounding Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards and a well known NBA commentator.
Beadle did not hold back as she called him out for the "dumbest' take in recent memory.
Beadle took aim at comments shared earlier this week by ESPN's Kendrick Perkins that Edwards is not the face of the NBA, due to not being a "family man" like predecessors Larry Bird, Michael Jordan and others.
Beadle responded to a comment on the Run It Back show that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the face of the league currently, not Edwards.
"Obviously," she responded, "until (Edwards) gets married, we can't take him seriously as the face of the league anyways," Beadle sarcastically added, sharing her thoughts on Perkins' criteria for the distinction.
"So dumb," Beadle added in a retweet of her comments on Wednesday.

Edwards had 19 points and six rebounds in 38 minutes of game action Wednesday as his Timberwolves were eliminated by Gilgeous-Alexander and coach Mark Daigneault's Thunder team.
The former Georgia star had two 30-plus point games against the Thunder but failed to break the 20-point barrier in his other three games.
