Mikal Bridges Has Reportedly Eaten Over $50,000 Worth Of Chipotle In The Last 10 Years
Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Mikal Bridges loves Chipotle so much that he has eaten from the popular Mexican restaurant every day for the past 10 years. Bridges divulged that information during an interview with GQ, and as per Front Office Sports' calculations, he has consumed around $50,000 worth of Chipotle.

That's a ridiculously high number, but Bridges will have earned $60 million in salaries in the NBA after this season, so he can obviously afford it with ease. Eating all that Chipotle doesn't seem to have had much of a negative effect on the 27-year-old health-wise either.

Bridges did not miss a single game in college, playing in all 116 of them for Villanova. Then in the NBA, he has again not missed a single game that he was eligible for. The only game he did miss was when the Phoenix Suns traded him to the Brooklyn Nets earlier this year.

He was inactive for the Nets' game against the Chicago Bulls on February 9, as the trade was still pending. As he was not eligible to play that one, though, the NBA does not count it as a missed game. It means Bridges continues to be the active leader in consecutive games played at 423.

Mikal Bridges' Interview With GQ

Bridges' interview with GQ was on the 10 things he couldn't live without. Chipotle was one of them and that was when he revealed he had eaten from there every day for the last 10 years.

"Chipotle, I eat this every day," Bridges said. "And it's been about — how many years since I've been eating Chipotle — since 2013, 14, so about 10 years. Still been on a heavy to this day. I have friends and family that teases me a bit about it but it's too fire to not have it every single time, so it don't disappoint."

Bridges then revealed his go-to order for bowls.

"So my bowl order, I get white rice, no beans, double chicken, medium and mild salsa, corn, and lettuce," Bridges stated. "I used to get the hot salsa. I don’t know if y’all know, that hot salsa I don’t know what they did to it these past couple years, but I just take one bite and I just be like chugging water. It still ain’t helping. It just be painful eating a bowl."

(starts at 4:30 mark):

The sauce was just a bit too hot for Bridges and he stated he felt was soft for that, as he usually loves spicy food. As for the rest of the things he can't live without, Bridges revealed they are, Air Force 1s, a toiletry bag from when he got when he made the NBA Finals, Bose headphones, a POGA travel monitor, two Rolex watches, a Hypervolt massage gun, an iPad, and a heavy ball.

Mikal Bridges' 2023-24 Season

As for Bridges' play this season, he is averaging 21.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.4 blocks per game. He hasn't quite hit the same heights as last season after he got traded to the Nets, but those are still solid numbers.

Bridges had averaged 26.1 points per game as a Net last season to lead them to the playoffs with a 45-37 record. This time around, though, they have had a bit of a rough start, as they fell to 15-16 after a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night.
