Mike Breen Goes Viral For Utterly Roasting 11-Year NBA Veteran

Mike Breen seemed to have it out for Jordan Clarkson while on the call for Wednesday's New York Knicks-Utah Jazz game.

Breen is widely known as the NBA's top national announcer. But when he's not calling games for ESPN, he serves as the play-by-play man for his hometown Knicks on the MSG Network.

The 63-year-old commentator is the voice behind some of the NBA's most iconic moments of the past couple of decades. That's why fans could not help but notice when Breen began using that voice to hilariously roast Clarkson for his questionable decision-making on the court against the Knicks.

A Knicks fan account on X called "TownsMuse" posted a video compilation of Breen laying into Clarkson throughout different points in the Knicks' 119-103 win over the Jazz.

"Some very questionable shots from Jordan Clarkson," said Breen during an ill-advised drive from Clarkson in the second quarter.

"Clarkson just heaving them up there!" uttered Breen in disgust after an ugly Clarkson floater. "He has taken some bad shots here in the first half."

You can listen to the full compilation of Breen's negative calls about Clarkson below.

Breen also had another gem from the game that the X account was unable to include in the clip.

"He hasn't had a lot of practice passing during this game,” Breen said after one of Clarkson's 19 shot attempts.

Clarkson is the definition of a professional scorer. His primary role has been to put the ball in the basket throughout virtually his entire 11-year NBA career. The former Sixth Man of the Year did just that against the Knicks, scoring a team-high 25 points on 8/19 shooting from the field.

While the numbers on the box score don't look too bad, Breen evidently did not sound like he enjoyed watching Clarkson record them in real time.

Clarkson also had just one assist in the contest across 32 minutes of action. But in all fairness to the 32-year-old, he's improved as a passer over the last few years.

Since the 2022-23 season, Clarkson has averaged north of four assists per contest after failing to do that in each of his first eight seasons.
