Mike Brown Shared A Hilarious Message To Steve Kerr

Mike Brown, associate head coach of the Golden State Warriors, had a lot on his plate on Monday.

Not only did he find out that he had been hired to lead the Sacramento Kings next season, but he was also tasked with stepping up and leading the Warriors on Monday night since head coach Steve Kerr was out with COVID.

Brown obviously handled it well and helped lead the team to a much-needed win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

But it sounds like he’s ready to move on.

Following the game, Brown was asked about Kerr’s possible return in time for Game 5 against Memphis.

“Steve, if you’re watching, get healthy quick,” Brown said jokingly, indicating that while he was happy to help, he’s eager to give the keys back to Kerr.

Big Days Ahead

Running the Kings won’t be Brown’s first time leading a team.

In the past, he’s been the head coach of both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

His Cavs made it to the Finals one year and he was even awarded Coach of the Year honors during that time.

Lately, Brown has been spending his time in the Bay Area and has worked under Kerr since 2016.

Brown has been a vital, beloved member of the Warriors family and they will miss him when he’s gone.

But Brown has a chance to really have an impact on a team that truly needs it.

The Kings have been a mess for a generation now and Brown has his work cut out for him.

No wonder he is ready for Kerr to take back the head coaching duties for Golden State.
