Even though they were without LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers snapped their four-game losing streak with a win against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. With this win, the Lakers remain the No. 5 seed in the West but are sitting more comfortably in the playoff picture with a month left in the season.
Despite the Lakers' win, one of the biggest stories from the game comes from the Suns' side, specifically regarding Kevin Durant and head coach Mike Budenholzer. In the first quarter, Durant exchanged some words with Budenholzer during a timeout in what seemed like a heated manner.

This is the second time in recent weeks that Durant and Budenholzer have had a heated interaction during the game. After the game, Budenholzer addressed the situation and sent a message regarding his interaction with Durant.
"He's always pushing us to win," Budenholzer said of his star forward. "He's always pushing us to be better."

Sunday night was the Lakers' last game against the Suns this season. They went 2-2 against them, but they could be getting the last laugh as Phoenix currently owns the No. 11 seed and may miss the postseason altogether.
At this point, it seems highly likely that Durant is entering his final stretch as a member of the Suns and that a trade is on the horizon. Where he ends up could impact the Lakers' immediate chances of competing for a championship.
