The Milwaukee Bucks are drawing a lot of headlines as the NBA offseason begins. Few moves so far have been as dramatic as the team turning its back on Damian Lillard and shockingly releasing him in order to sign Myles Turner, a player few pictured going to Milwaukee after being with the division rival Indiana Pacers for a full decade. Former Bucks guard Brandon Jennings has reacted to the news as NBA free agency continues to deliver intriguing storylines.
Brandon Jennings was at one point the next great hope for the Milwaukee Bucks franchise. Years later, as the team looks to retool the roster around Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jennings, like the rest of the Bucks fanbase, watches in awe as the team continues to make shocking moves.
July 1st has been a rollercoaster ride for Bucks fans, including Jennings. When news broke of Myles Turner joining Antetokounmpo in the frontcourt, he was very excited.

When the news broke that Damian Lillard was being cut to make the deal happen, Jennings initially did not believe what had happened. Through discussions with fans replying to his post, Jennings learned what had transpired.

It is true that while Milwaukee has now replaced the departing veteran center Brook Lopez with the tremendously exciting Turner, there are still multiple holes on the roster. One that a healthy Lillard would have helped solve. Unfortunately, even before Lillard’s shocking release, the star point guard was set to miss most of the upcoming season due to his postseason Achilles tear.
Lillard is now off the roster, but not off the books. He is set to eat a significant amount of Milwaukee’s cap space for the next five seasons as his contract was stretched out to make room for Turner.
Having understood the extent of the decision, Jennings moved on to speaking about his own future and appears to want to be involved with the Bucks in some capacity.
I know the Bucks got a job for me lol
They gotta have a position for me in the office, player, creative, media

Think imma move back to Milwaukee might be that type of year

The wild day for Bucks fans has also seen the team trade away Pat Connaughton and add Gary Harris. The future continues to be clouded for the franchise, but the front office has certainly taken some swings at improving the team for the upcoming years.
