Milwaukee Bucks: Patrick Beverley Expresses Desire to Return Next Season, But on 1 Condition
Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

Patrick Beverley will be a free agent this offseason, and he said that if it were up to him, he would prefer to play for the Milwaukee Bucks next season.

In the latest episode of The Pat Bev Podcast , Beverley added that if he were to re-sign with the Milwaukee Bucks, he would be expecting a “little bump” in salary.

“I love playing with Bobby, Dame, Greek, (and) Khris. It was cool. It was great,” said Beverley.  “I want to stay with Milwaukee. I want to see what goes here, but you know, I also played well enough in the playoffs to get a little bump, you know? That’s the business side of it. So whatever happens with that happens.”

The 35-year-old guard started the 2023-24 campaign with the Philadelphia 76ers when he signed a one-year deal last summer. Patrick Beverley finished the season with the Milwaukee Bucks when he was traded there in exchange for Cameron Payne and a future second-round pick in February.

Patrick Beverley might not get what he wants from the Milwaukee Bucks

Patrick Beverley played fairly well in the playoffs for the Milwaukee Bucks, averaging 8.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game on 36.4 percent shooting from three-point land. However, his performances were overshadowed by his deplorable antics.

The one-time NBA All-Defensive First Team member got into an altercation with an Indiana Pacers fan at the end of Game 6, and he also drew flak on social media after snubbing a long-time ESPN producer during an interview for not subscribing to his podcast.

Because he was embroiled in various controversies, the league suspended Beverley for four games, which he will serve next season if he stays in the NBA. For that reason alone, the Milwaukee Bucks should be fine letting him walk.
