Minnesota Timberwolves: Anthony Edwards Drops Defiant Message Amid 0-3 Deficit Vs. Mavericks
Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

The Minnesota Timberwolves have found themselves in a deep, deep hole. This is after they suffered a 116-107 loss to the Dallas Mavericks in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Sunday night. Unfortunately for the Wolves, they will now need to move heaven and earth to come back and win this series after going down 3-0 to Luka Doncic and the Mavs.

Despite their troubling predicament, however, Minnesota superstar Anthony Edwards isn’t letting all this bring him down.

Minnesota Timberwolves News: Anthony Edwards’ Defiant Message

Edwards, who finished Sunday’s devastating loss with a team-high 26 points on 11-of-24 shooting, with nine rebounds, nine assists, and two steals in 43 minutes of action, did all he could for the Timberwolves on Sunday night. It just wasn’t enough, though, as Minnesota simply had no answer for the Mavs’ Luka Doncic-Kyrie Irving duo, who themselves combined for 66 out of Dallas’ 116 points.

Edwards hasn’t gone as far as guaranteeing a highly improbable comeback from his team. However, the two-time All-Star dropped an epic post-game quote about remaining positive amid this major adversity:

Edwards knows that that the Wolves are on the brink of elimination and that no other team in history has come back from a 3-0 series deficit. Then again, there’s always a first time, right?

Game 4 in Dallas is scheduled on Tuesday and at this point, Edwards and Co. have no other choice but to take it one game at a time.
