Minnesota Timberwolves: Draymond Green Slams Karl-Anthony Towns’ Audacious Claim After Game 3 Dud Vs. Mavericks
Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Karl-Anthony Towns turned in another forgettable performance on Sunday night as the Minnesota Timberwolves suffered a third consecutive loss against the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals. The Wolves are now down 0-3 in the series and unsurprisingly, Towns is now getting a lot of stick for his poor showing throughout the West Finals.

Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, who’s now part of TNT’s NBA Playoffs coverage, was one of the first to call Towns out after hearing the All-Star big man’s audacious claim following their 116-107 loss in Game 3.

Minnesota Timberwolves News: Draymond Green Calls Cap on Karl-Anthony Towns

In his post-game interview, Towns revealed that he takes 1,500 shots in practice every single day. Green was having none of it:

It wasn’t just Draymond who called cap on Towns’ wild revelation. Even two-time NBA champion Kenny Smith and Hall of Famer Charles Barkley just couldn’t believe that anyone is actually capable of putting up 1,500 shots on a daily basis.

This only adds insult to injury for Towns, who is now 3-of-22 from beyond the arc in their three games against the Mavs. If there’s any truth behind his 1,500-shots claim, then perhaps he better add a few more attempts to improve his form.

Right now, Towns is not at all looking like the best-shooting big man in the history of the sport. He has, albeit inadvertently, done very well in debunking his own bold declaration.
