Minnesota Timberwolves Fan Lets Houston Rockets Players Hear It After Historic OT Collapse

The Minnesota Timberwolves pulled off the biggest comeback in overtime ever in the NBA against the Houston Rockets. After the buzzer sounded, one Wolves fan went off the rails with his celebration.

Alperen Sengun may have ended with a bloody lip after a block at the end of regulation, but it was all for naught for Houston. Despite being down 13 points in OT, Minnesota clawed back to win the hotly contested game. Julius Randle was the lone starter on the floor for the Wolves when they made a run in overtime.

And after the buzzer sounded, a fan near the tunnel let all the Rockets players hear it, shouting directly at them in the most obnoxious way. He even flipped off Kevin Durant.

At the end, Rockets forward Jabari Smith Jr. was the only one who was angry at the fan’s mockery. When he tried to confront the Minnesota Timberwolves heckler, he was immediately stopped by one of his assistant coaches.

While fans can celebrate their team’s win, this one’s a bit too harsh. Glad that most of the Rockets players ignored his antics because that could’ve turned ugly.

Minnesota Timberwolves May Move to the East

The NBA will add two teams in the next couple of years, and both new franchises could hail from the West. That basically means that one current Western Conference team will inevitably be moved to the East. And according to Shams Charania, the Minnesota Timberwolves are a prime candidate in that scenario.

“When I talk to people around the league, it’s likely going to be Minnesota or Memphis. A little bit of a lean on Minnesota because there’s that cluster of MIN, IND, MIL, CHI. So I have heard a lot of Minnesota chatter,” Charania said.

Should that happen, there’s no doubt that the Wolves would instantly become top four team in the Eastern Conference. And new rivalries will be formed, too.
