The Phoenix Suns have been one of the names that always popped out in trade rumors in the past. However, as the trade deadline nears, the franchise has yet to make any major moves. According to an insider, this could be due to the internal complications and obstacles preventing the front office from making any huge decisions.

According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, the Suns may end up settling for what they have for this trade season, and instead work internally on their play. After all, they remain a strong playoff contender, being where they are now, only behind the Denver Nuggets and the Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference.

“Multiple obstacles in the way to make a drastic change at the deadline,” Haynes said . “Phoenix Suns were always prepared to venture into [the] second half of season with the core roster in place. With futures no longer in doubt for time being, the internal hope is improved play.”

Former Miami Heat veteran Jimmy Butler had been vocal about his preference to be traded to the Phoenix Suns. However, after a long-running drama between him and the team’s front office, butler ended up with the Golden State Warriors. While not Phoenix, the Bay Area has been one of his initial preferred destinations, too.

With a few more days until the trade deadline, the Phoenix Suns could either pull a banger trade news or just stay on the low and focus more on working internally with the roster that they have.

Phoenix Suns Star Reacts to Blockbuster Trade: “Anybody is Up For Grabs”

Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant expressed his opinion on the recent trade between the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Lakers that shook fans, league players, and everyone else in between. Durant called the move that traded a young superstar of Luka Doncic’s caliber “insane.”

“It’s crazy,” Durant said . “Crazy. Damn, would have never thought Luka Doncic would get traded. At his age, midseason, the NBA is a wild place, man. If he can get traded, then anybody is up for grabs.”

“You start seeing stuff like that, as an organization, you might get a little more courage to do some stuff. You see another team trade away somebody like that. This got to be the biggest trade I’ve seen since I’ve been in the league or since I’ve been watching the sport.  This is insane.”
