The Milwaukee Bucks closed out the 2024‑25 NBA season with a 48‑34 record (.585) under second‑year coach Doc Rivers, only to be eliminated by the Indiana Pacers in a 4‑1 first‑round series loss.

Despite Giannis Antetokounmpo’s gaudy averages of 33.0 points, 15.4 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game, Milwaukee’s jury‑rigged lineup proved insufficient in a bruising playoff matchup.

In an effort to strengthen both interior defence and floor spacing, the Bucks made their biggest move of free agency on Monday, inking veteran center Myles Turner to a four‑year, $107 million deal.

On Friday, Turner addressed the media for the first time as a Buck, praising Milwaukee’s "generational" star and the organization’s culture.

"It’s a rarity in this league that you get to be alongside… arguably one of the greatest players to play this game. But not even that, man. I just look at this roster and how it’s tooled," Turner said.

"I competed against these guys for the past two seasons. There was a respect from afar about just how they went about their business. You know, there’s a reason why guys want to be here… everybody sees the vision. They don’t just re-sign just to do it. So, I just think that there’s a real belief within this organization, and I align myself with that."

Turner, 29, spent his first decade in the league anchoring the Indiana Pacers.

Over 642 games (609 starts), he averaged 14.1 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 28.7 minutes per night, shooting a career 49.9% from the field and 36.2 % from 3-point range.

A two‑time NBA blocks leader (2019, 2021), Turner slots in as one of the league’s premier rim protectors and a reliable floor spacer.

With Turner patrolling the paint and a re‑signing spree that preserves depth around Antetokounmpo, the Bucks enter the season with a renewed sense of hope and, as Turner puts it, one clear "vision."
