NBA Analyst Drops Harsh Take on Luka Doncic’s 'Losing Habits' While Questioning Championship Future

The smear campaign against Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Doncic continues. And this time, it’s coming from former player turned basketball analyst, Jay Williams.

Just a couple of days ago, NBA insider Zach Lowe went on a lengthy tirade about Doncic, calling his game ‘unwatchable.’ While there’s no doubt that the Slovenian-born superstar is at another level when it comes to whining to the game officials, the reality is that he gets hit a lot on the floor.

After Lowe’s criticism of Luka, Jay Williams has taken it to another notch, suggesting that the Lakers superstar has developed ‘losing habits’ on the court.

“I think Luka is one of the more talented players I’ve ever seen, but I think he has losing habits. I think he has bad habits. His impact on the game is not aligned with the statistical output. You see crazy numbers, but I don’t know if it impacts winning,” Jay Williams said about Luka Doncic.

“At some point, when you see him every play screaming at the refs and not even getting back in the frame defensively, I just don’t know if he’s the leader everybody projected him to be, and I think he has bad habits,” Williams added.

Does Luka whine a lot to the refs? There’s no doubt. But it’s safe to say the 26-year-old wouldn’t complain if there’s no contact. And the referees may miss one or two calls during games.

Luka Doncic Catching a Lot of Strays From the Media

With the Los Angeles Lakers struggling again, Luka Doncic gets a ton of heat from fans and the media. He’s the face of the franchise, and that’s why people are quick to point at him whenever LA plays badly. Now, another former player/coach chimed in with his thoughts about Doncic. But this time, it’s not about Luka’s whining – it’s regarding his playstyle

“At some point, NBA players who like to play basketball, who want to participate, they’re going to get tired of standing in the corner, decide to throw me the ball with two seconds on the shot clock, and now I have to take a bad shot,” Sam Mitchell said about Doncic’s game.

It looks like the Lakers’ superstar guard won’t catch a break this season. He’d better win one soon, or this will become a recurring theme throughout his NBA career.
