Former NBA fan-favorite Nate Robinson is undeniably one of the most exciting players to watch from his time in the league. At 5-foot-9, the former Washington Huskies star didn't let his height stop him from establishing himself as a reliable guard in the pros.
Robinson played 11 seasons in the NBA, averaging 11.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists, while shooting 42.3% from the field and 36% from 3-point range.
Now 41, Robinson has cemented his legacy as one of the best dunkers in the history of the game. He is a three-time NBA Dunk Contest champion, winning in 2006, 2009 and 2010. His 2009 performance, when he dunked over fellow finalist Dwight Howard, remains an iconic moment to this day.
Robinson is long retired from the NBA, having last played for the New Orleans Pelicans during the 2015-16 season.
While it has been nearly a decade since he suited up in the top professional basketball league, Robinson still plans to stay involved in the game in any way he can. He shared as much in an exclusive interview with Athlon Sports, via Casino.org where to play slots for real money.
"Probably create, hopefully, a new show that I can do, or maybe do some podcast stuff, call in some NBA games, getting behind the camera again, talking about sports, life fatherhood, speaking about my kidney journey," Robinson said when asked about his plans in his post-playing career. It's worth noting that Robinson underwent a kidney transplant early this year after suffering from renal failure.
When further asked about doing a new show or podcast, Robinson confirmed to Athlon Sports that his new podcast is "in the works right now."
"Podcast is in the works. Couple of episodes will be dropped soon. We're gonna start filming and doing that," Robinson added.
Robinson did not elaborate on when exactly his podcast will drop, although it will certainly be an exciting one considering his NBA career. Robinson played for eight different teams in the league, although he spent the majority of his career with the New York Knicks.
