It’s still early in the regular season, but the Golden State Warriors are already fatigued.
The Golden State Warriors are off to a good start in the 2025-26 NBA season as they currently boast a 4-2 record.
However, the Warriors’ recent defeat against the Milwaukee Bucks exposed the team’s biggest weakness – the age of the players.
On top of that, the Warriors have one of the toughest early stretches in the league. So much so that Bill Simmons feels that NBA commissioner Adam Silver hates the Dubs.
Even though the Warriors are home to terrific stars in Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler. There’s no denying the fact that age is the Warriors’ biggest foe this season.
Combine that with an unforgiving schedule, Simmons thinks the NBA schedulers want the Warriors to fall off sooner rather than later.
“Golden State is the one that I really vacillated on whether they’re an actual contender or a possible contender, and here’s why I made them a possible contender.
“I think there’s a real chance that Adam Silver hates Golden State because I can’t think of any other explanation when I look at the schedule,” Simmons said on The Ringer.
He added: “17 days, they have 10 games, and they’re all basically in different locations. That’s a f___ you from the NBA schedulers.”

As a result, Simmons is skeptical about the Warriors’ status as a championship contender in the loaded Western Conference.
The Warriors’ ridiculous schedule could take a toll on the bodies of their superstars. The next couple of weeks will put the players through a rigorous test.
Keeping that in mind, Simmons has circled the Warriors’ November 16, 2025, matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans.
“That’s why I wanna see where they are by 11/16 in that New Orleans game. Who’s already hurt, who’s been sitting, how fresh are we looking? How impactful is Kuminga? What else am I leaving out?” he stated.
If multiple players get injured before that Pelicans game, head coach Steve Kerr may need to rethink some of his decisions, including Al Horford’s role.
