There was no shortage of intensity in Sunday night's Game 4 action between the Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers. An altercation in the first quarter of the game led to multiple technical fouls and an ejection.
Things got heated after Cavs forward De'Andre Hunter shoved Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin to the ground. Players had to be separated as tempers flared.
Hunter took exception to Mathurin, who delivered a hit which upon review by the officials was assessed as a flagrant foul 2. Mathurin was ejected from the game for his actions, while Hunter and Myles Turner were given technical fouls for their respective roles in the altercation.

While some fans agreed with Mathurin's ejection, several were not at all pleased by the unexpected turn of events. In fact, supporters on social media are now accusing the NBA and the referees of favoring the Cavaliers in this game.
"NBA made the call for the Cavs," a comment on X read.
"League is a joke," said another.
"refs helping the cavs," declared a viewer.
"These officials should be investigated," a reaction read.
"(Adam) Silver made the call," accused another.
"This league makes no sense," wrote a fan.
Whatever the case may be, the Pacers will now need to carry on in Game 4 down one player. Indiana, however, has established a commanding lead in the first half as it looks to take a 3-1 lead in this second-round NBA playoff series.
As of writing, the Pacers are up 60-32 with a little less than five minutes remaining in the second quarter. It's going to be an uphill battle for the Cavs in this one.
