NBA Fans Troll The Warriors’ 2022 Draft Pick Patrick Baldwin Jr.: “Walmart Steph”
Dave Kallmann / Milwaukee Journal Sentinel / USA TODAY NETWORK

The Golden State Warriors' new rookie, Patrick Baldwin Jr. looks like Stephen Curry. NBA fans trolled the 19-year-old on Twitter.

The Golden State Warriors proved last season that they are still very much a threat to the rest of the teams in the NBA, even after Kevin Durant's departure from the team in 2019. Last season, the Dubs ended up making a stunning comeback in the regular season and secured the third seed in the Western Conference.

They carried that form into the postseason and had a phenomenal championship run. Stephen Curry led the Warriors to their fourth NBA Championship in the last eight seasons.

Although the Warriors' original core of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green were present on the team, it's only a matter of time before the young players take over the team from them.

The Warriors have plenty of young talent on the team such as Jordan Poole, James Wiseman, and Jonathan Kuminga. Now, in the 2022 NBA Draft, the Warriors also added Patrick Baldwin Jr. to the list.

The Dubs selected Baldwin with the 28th overall pick in the draft. Being selected in the low first round is still good, but not that great. However, within just a few weeks, the Warriors have seemingly been impressed with Baldwin.

Despite not being a good three-point shooter in college, many believe he has a similar knack for shooting threes just like Steph Curry. Moreover, he looks like a young Curry as well.

In above-attached tweet, the page labeled Baldwin as 'Walmart Curry.' Following this remark from the meme age, many NBA fans continued trolling him in the comments section. Here are some of the best reactions posted by fans:

Now, these were some hilarious trolls directed at the Warriors rookie. But regardless of what he looks like, his performance on the court will be under the microscope.

He may be under development right now, but if he indeed shares the same flair for shooting threes as Steph, then the league will be in trouble. The only question is when will he truly become a good player in the NBA?
