Former NBA star Allen Iverson retired from the league in 2013 after playing 14 seasons.
He was a league MVP, 11-time All-Star, two-time All-Star Game MVP and a four-time scoring champion.
Iverson was most known for his time with the Philadelphia 76ers but also played for the Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons and the Memphis Grizzlies.
His best season statistically came in 2001-02, when he averaged 31.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game.
Iverson now works under Shaquille O'Neal as the Vice President of Basketball at Reebok. He also works on other business ventures and even wrote a memoir.
On Wednesday, Iverson took to social media to announce that his new memoir, "Misunderstood," is already a New York Times Best Seller. It only took a week to reach that status after the memoir was released on Oct. 7.
"So proud to announce that Misunderstood is a New York Times Bestseller," Iverson said. "When I was growing up and my mom told me I could do whatever I wanted, I admit I was dreaming of basketball and football, not a book. I just had to dream a little bigger I guess. I want to thank all the people who have been such an intricate part of this life and this book."
The memoir is about Iverson's life growing up and how many perceive it to be different due to his great success as an athlete.
Iverson is one of the greatest basketball players to ever live and everything isn't as pretty as it seems.
