Dwight Howard was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in September as part of the 2025 class. The 39-year-old earned this honor after a decorated 18-year NBA career, which, among other things, included eight All-Star appearances, eight All-NBA nods, five All-Defensive team selections and three Defensive Player of the Year titles. Howard also won an NBA championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020 alongside LeBron James.

It has now been three years since Howard last played in the league. Since then, the former No. 1 overall pick has been busy building his post-NBA legacy. This includes becoming a part-owner of a professional basketball team in Taiwan, a high-profile stint with Ice Cube’s BIG3 league, as well as a variety of business investments.

Howard has also transitioned into acting, appearing in films such as “Just Wright” and “The Equalizer 2” alongside Academy Award-winning Hollywood A-lister Denzel Washington. The five-time NBA rebounding champion has also earned TV credits for shows like “Never Have I Ever,” “Black-ish,” and “The Odd Couple.”

Howard is serious about establishing himself as a significant player in the multimedia spectrum. On Tuesday, it was announced that the 6-foot-10 big man has signed with Innovative Artists Entertainment.

Howard himself took to social media to share the news.

According to its website, Innovative Artists is a Los Angeles and New York City-based talent agency that has “established a distinctive niche among the agency representation landscape by providing incomparable, personalized service which prioritizes the interest of its clients first and foremost.”

Howard, who has also competed in reality shows such as “Dancing With the Stars” and “Masked Singer,” has indicated his intention to expand his presence in the entertainment world by signing with IA. This deal should allow him to leverage his brand across media, TV and film, as well as his podcast, “Above the Rim with DH 12.”

Howard reportedly earned over $245 million during his historic NBA career. He is reportedly worth $120 million as of 2025. Howard is making sure his fortune is being put to good use now that he’s living his post-NBA life.
