Los Angeles Lakers great Magic Johnson is widely regarded as one of the best point guards in the history of the NBA. The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee played 13 seasons in the league, averaging 19.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and an all-time best 11.2 assists per game in his career. This led to 12 All-Star appearances, three MVP awards and five NBA titles.

Since retiring in 1996, the 66-year-old has remained in the sports world, as he is a part-owner in several major franchises, including the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles FC and the Washington Commanders.

He has also been a regular face and voice in the television scene.

While he has seen success in his basketball career and as a businessman, Johnson has dealt with health issues throughout his life, as he announced his diagnosis with HIV in 1991. Since then, he has been an advocate for HIV/AIDS awareness, including creating the Magic Johnson Foundation.

On Friday, Johnson made an announcement on his Instagram about a guest television appearance he is set to make.

"I'll be on the Jennifer Hudson Show today! Be sure to check your local affiliates for air times. If you're in Los Angeles, I'll be on at 12P PT on KTTV 11!" Johnson wrote.

Johnson is no stranger to "The Jennifer Hudson Show," as he has made multiple appearances in the past to discuss HIV/AIDS awareness and his success after retirement.

The NBA great will appear on the Emmy Award-nominated show on Friday. The show can be seen on most local Fox affiliate channels.
