To say that Giannis Antetokounmpo has been on fire of late would be an understatement. So much so, that even the NBA had to react to what has been a historic run for the Milwaukee Bucks superstar.
Ahead of Tuesday's clash against Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves, the NBA took to social media to make an announcement about Antetokounmpo, who was named as the Eastern Conference Player of the Week on Monday, and his scorching streak.
The Bucks forward has scored at least 30 points in his last seven games while shooting above 60% from the floor. According to the NBA, no other player in league history has ever reached these heights.

In his last seven games, Antetokounmpo has produced averages of 33.1 points on 62.9% shooting. On top of that, the nine-time All-Star has also registered 11.7 rebounds, 8.7 assists and 1.1 steals.
It is also important to note that Antetokounmpo has been forced to sit out two games during this current seven-game stretch due to a lingering shoulder injury . The 6-foot-11 forward was unable to suit up in Milwaukee's last game -- a 111-107 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday -- but he has been cleared to take the floor on Tuesday against the Wolves.
The Bucks will need their superstar to be healthy as the regular season winds down, and, of course, once the playoffs start. Milwaukee enters Tuesday's game with a 44-34 record and the No. 5 seed in the East.
