The Dallas Mavericks have been officially eliminated from the Emirates NBA Cup following their loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.

Dallas finished the NBA Cup Group Play with a 1-3 record, with their only win coming against the New Orleans Pelicans. Aside from the Lakers, they also lost to the Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers.

Since Dallas failed to move on to the knockout rounds of the tournament, they will play regular season games when the NBA Cup resumes this December.

Before the season started, the league announced the schedule for only 80 games for every team, with the other two contests being decided depending on how the NBA Cup would play out.

That being said, the NBA has now revealed the Mavericks' final schedule as a result of their Cup elimination. Dallas will play the Brooklyn Nets at home on Dec. 12, while it will visit the Utah Jazz on Dec. 15.

The Mavericks recently improved to 6-15 on the season with a 114-110 win against the Los Angeles Clippers. Rookie Cooper Flagg has been a bright spot, with his 35-point performance against the Clips even making him the youngest player to score 35 or more in a game in NBA history.

However, with Anthony Davis still working his way back to 100% after a calf injury and Kyrie Irving remaining sidelined as he nurses his torn ACL, Dallas isn't poised to contend any time soon.

It remains to be seen how much progress Dallas will make this NBA season, though Flagg's growth is certainly something to keep an eye on.
