Over the last three games, the Sacramento Kings are undefeated and are just a half-game back behind the Los Angeles Clippers for the final spot in the playoffs outright. For now, the Kings seem destinged to make the Play-In Tournament and fight their way into the postseason, although one star is trying to lift the team up.
During recent wins over the Charlotte Hornets, Utah Jazz, and Houston Rockets, Zach LaVine has averaged 28 points, 5.7 rebounds, and three assists. He has shot a stellar 63.6 percent from 3-point range.
On Monday, the NBA announced that LaVine and New York Knicks' guard Jalen Brunson are the Players of the Week for their respective conferences. Both players led their team to a perfect 3-0 week and were the best players in all of their six combined games.
Despite having two All-Star nods under his belt, it's LaVine's first time winning the award and the second time a Kings' player has won this season. Domantas Sabonis took the hardware home in January.

Two of the three teams the Kings played last week have no hope of making the postseason and were playing for draft odds, and LaVine made the most of his chances. In upcoming games, the Kings will play the Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, and San Antonio Spurs in what will be De'Aaron Fox's first game against his old team, although with no Victor Wembanyama, Sacramento should cruise to a sizeable win.
