Atlanta has waived center Charles Bassey and guard Lamont Butler, per Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.
The moves bring the Hawks’ roster to 14 players, one shy of the regular-season limit.
Bassey joined Atlanta on an Exhibit 10 deal for camp after three injury-plagued seasons with the Spurs. The former second-round pick averaged 4.4 points and 4.2 rebounds across 36 games last year but has struggled to stay healthy, suffering a fractured patella and a torn ACL in consecutive seasons.
Butler, a 6-foot-2 guard from Kentucky, averaged 11.4 points and shot 39% from three as a senior.
Both players are expected to land with the College Park Skyhawks, Atlanta’s G League affiliate.
The Hawks currently have 10 players on guaranteed deals. Youngmisuk notes that N’Faly Dante, Vit Krejci, Caleb Houstan, and Mouhamed Gueye are all likely to make the roster despite their partial or non-guaranteed contracts.
Dallas has converted rookie center Moussa Cisse to a two-way contract, per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
The 6-foot-11 big man had been on an Exhibit 10 deal and impressed the staff with his rim protection during camp, blocking seven shots in just 34 preseason minutes.
Cisse, who played at Memphis, Oklahoma State, and Ole Miss, brings defensive versatility and athleticism to the Mavericks’ depth chart.
He’ll split time between Dallas and the Texas Legends and will be eligible for restricted free agency next summer if he remains on the two-way deal.
Cisse joins guards Ryan Nembhard and Miles Kelly as the team’s two-way players.
The Pacers announced several roster changes, waiving forwards Gabe McGlothan and Jalen Slawson while signing guard Kyle Guy and forward Ray Spalding to Exhibit 10 contracts.
McGlothan averaged 8.7 points and 5.7 rebounds last season with the Grand Rapids Gold in the G League after a four-year run at Grand Canyon.
Slawson, who spent 2024-25 with the Osceola Magic, averaged 12.0 points and 7.3 rebounds in 50 games.
Both are expected to rejoin Indiana’s G League affiliate, the Noblesville Boom.
Guy and Spalding are also likely bound there — and all four could earn bonuses of up to $85,300 if they spend at least 60 days with the Boom.
