NBA props for Friday 4/5: GG has the hot hand

The return of March Madness is almost upon us. Until then, let's keep banging on the books ... deal? Last night was a 3-1 effort and maybe it would have been 4-0 if Jalen Johnson was willing to share. We only needed him to grab nine rebounds, instead he found 16. At least it was another positive prop category double-down.

Tonight we have most of the league in action, 12 games in total. There are some duds but Phoenix vs. Minnesota is super relevant and I am kind of curious to see how the Kings match up with the Celtics in Boston.

NBA Props for Friday, April 5

GG Jackson Over 6.5 Rebounds (+100)
Pistons vs. Grizzlies, 8 p.m. ET

I am hoping to ride a hot hand here as Jackson just posted his first NBA double-double with 12 rebounds in his last game. Also, the opponent tonight, Detroit, is a good one to post some solid numbers against. Jackson is 6-foot-9 and mostly guarding shorter players at this stage of his career, which is advantageous. Beyond center Jalen Duren the Pistons are not strong on the glass,

Anthony Edwards Over 5.5 Rebounds (+114)
Timberwolves vs. Suns, 10 p.m. ET

This is a critical game for Minnesota tonight and they are going to need a max effort from Edwards. His rebounding is inconsistent which is why we are getting such a good price for just average performance. He has also bested this total in it six of the last ten games too. I am willing to overlook that his only game against Phoenix in November was far from his best in any way.

Scoot Henderson Over 8.5 Assists (+110)
Trail Blazers vs. Wizards, 7 p.m. ET

Like a lot of people, I thought Scoot was NBA-ready from the jump. It turns out that was not the case, but with the team out of it, they are fully focused on his development and giving him lots of playing time. This number is a little high, but you have to consider the opponent too. Washington is dreadful, in part due to the worst defense in the league. With the ball going through the hoop a lot, I like Henderson to post good numbers. He has 10 and nine assists in the last couple of games.

Jaylen Brown Over 3.5 Assists (+130)
Kings vs. Celtics, 7:30 p.m. ET

I always consider Brown a scorer first. This line is set right at his seasonal average, but taking on a quality opponent that wants to push the pace and not play much defense, should mean some great drive and dish opportunities for Brown. Sacramento is just not great at staying in front of players on the wing. At this price, it is hard to ignore. Brown has been over this total in his last couple of games too.
