NBA fans have become more familiar with Taylor Rooks as the face of 'NBA on Prime' throughout the 2025-26 NBA season. She's seen establishing rapport among beloved NBA icons like Dirk Nowitzki, Blake Griffin and Udonis Haslem to provide viewers with excellent commentary before, during and after high-level basketball games.

The show she's hosting has become a tremendous success, with the association announcing an 18% increase in viewership for the 2026 play-in tournament. While Amazon's stellar service played a huge factor in the increase in viewership, Rook's leadership in the studio helps in creating an enjoyable atmosphere for NBA fans.

With the increased viewership the show is enjoying, it's natural that Rooks will gain support from the fans. She used this opportunity to run an initiative to help the people who matter to her.

Rook announced on her personal Instagram profile and the Taylor Rooks Foundation page that she raised $2.1 million for Undue Medical Debt, a charity dedicated to erasing medical debt among Americans.

She announced in her post explaining the partnership that the cause has a personal stake in her life. "My baby sister has Type 1 diabetes, so I know firsthand just how medical bills can pile up," she said. "Everyone deserves the chance to move forward without being held back by circumstances beyond their control."

The Taylor Brooks Foundation expounded on the sportscaster's statement.

"Medical debt disproportionately impacts Black and Hispanic families, and the toll reaches far beyond finances, shaping daily stress, limiting choices, and affecting entire households," they wrote on the caption.
