Marcus Morris is a solid forward who currently plays for the Los Angeles Clippers. He is viewed as a solid two-way player, capable of playing good defense and creating his own shot when necessary. This season Marcus Morris put up 15.4 PPG, 4.4 RPG, and 2.1 APG while shooting 36.7% from beyond the arc.

Despite his fantastic season, it seems as though there is a possibility that Marcus Morris will be traded. Andrew Greif of the LA Times has recently pointed out that the Clippers have "a glut of wings", and revealed that the Clippers are "widely expected to look at Morris' contract as a way" to potentially make trades to "upgrade the roster".

With Leonard coming back and the possibility Batum and Robert Covington also will be back, Morris could be viewed as a valuable shot-maker but ultimately high-cost redundancy among a glut of wings. The Clippers are widely expected to look at Morris’ contract as a way to facilitate potential trades to upgrade the roster.

There is no doubt that losing Marcus Morris would reduce some of the shot-making on the roster, but at the same time, perhaps trading him could allow the Los Angeles Clippers to acquire other players at positions of need. Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Reggie Jackson should be able to take care of the scoring needs on the roster, and perhaps getting a facilitator could help the team overall.

It remains to be seen if the Los Angeles Clippers will end up making a Marcus Morris trade become a reality. He should definitely be moved for a substantial upgrade, but there isn't a point in moving him for the sake of making a trade. Marcus Morris is still a good player that would be able to be a 6th man type of player for the team when Kawhi Leonard gets back. Some believe that the Clippers have the best roster when healthy in the league, and having good players like Marcus Morris is part of that.
