With the trade request including a deadline that is just six days away, there isn't much time for the Nets to make a move. While we can get into potential suitors and fits another time, the most immediate impact has come on the betting odds for Brooklyn to win it all.
According to BetMGM, the Nets NBA championship odds dropped from +700 to +1400 following the news. DraftKings had Brooklyn at the second-best odds behind Boston (+330) earlier this week, but the Nets are now also +1400 there.
The market movement has slid Milwaukee (+650) and Denver (+700) up the board, and curiously, the Lakers have shot up from +4000 to +3000 since news broke.
This is surely not the last we've heard of this. Keep your ear to the ground on the latest NBA rumors as it relates to the futures market.
