NBA: Two incorrect non-calls in OT of Cavs-Raptors Game 6

The NBA’s Last 2 Minute Report is going to add a little more fuel heading into Game 7.

According to the league, there were two incorrect non-calls in overtime of Friday’s Game 6 between the Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors.

First, a defensive three-second violation should have been called on Collin Murray-Boyles with 1:46 remaining in overtime.

Then, with 33.7 seconds left, the league said RJ Barrett exceeded the five-second limit on an inbounds play that went uncalled.

Those are the kinds of details that tend to get magnified in a two-point game. Toronto ultimately won 112-110 on Barrett’s late three-pointer, sending the series back to Cleveland for a winner-take-all Game 7.

As everyone knows by now, it came down to the final possession. Barrett’s shot took a high bounce and dropped with 1.2 seconds left. Evan Mobley had a chance to answer, but his three-point attempt came up short at the buzzer.

So, here we are.

Game 7 is Sunday in Cleveland, where the Cavaliers have won all three games in the series. The Raptors are still looking for their first playoff win there.
