Nets' Kevin Durant to miss two games with hamstring strain

The Brooklyn Nets have had difficulty fielding a lineup that includes Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden this season. Those struggles will continue into this week for Steve Nash's squad.

The Nets announced Sunday that Durant will miss at least the next two games against the Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns with a hamstring strain.

Durant played in his first game in a week on Saturday against the Golden State Warriors, notching 20 points, five rebounds and six assists in 33 minutes. He had been placed in the NBA's health and safety protocols on Feb. 5 after having close contact with an employee who tested positive for COVID-19.

Durant, Irving and Harden have played just seven games together this season due to various reasons. The Nets are 5-2 in those games and 2-2 when Durant doesn't suit up.

The 32-year-old is averaging 29 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game while shooting 52.4% from the field and 43.4% from deep.
