The Miami Heat are looking to address the absence of All-Star forward Jimmy Butler from the team. Last season, the Heat shipped Butler to the Golden State Warriors on a five-team deal. Following the trade, the Heat struggled to be competitive. Although they still qualified to participate in the 2025 NBA playoffs, Miami struggled against the Cleveland Cavaliers and were swept in the first round.
This summer, they’ve made adjustments to their roster. The Heat’s most noteworthy addition was veteran guard Norman Powell, who was acquired in a three-team trade from the Los Angeles Clippers. Miami sent veteran frontcourt players Kevin Love and Kyle Anderson to the Utah Jazz. The Clippers received John Collins from the Jazz. Utah, on the other hand, received a future second-round draft pick from L.A.
The five-time All-Star quickly let his fans know about his thoughts on the trade. He took to X (formerly Twitter) to post a hilarious take on the transaction.
“Never thought I’d be a math problem. Welcome to the NBA,” Love posted online.
