Mike Brown was formally introduced as the head coach of the Sacramento Kings at a press conference Tuesday and he had glowing praise for his new squad.
"The potential here, I truly believe the potential is off the charts," Brown said, via ESPN. "It gets me excited thinking about it. ... The players here, I'm excited about.
"There's just a lot of opportunity here for this place to explode, and I want to be a part of it."
The Kings finished the 2021-22 season with a 30-52 record, making it 16 straight years that ended with a losing record. Luckily for Sacramento, it's set to pick fourth overall in the 2022 NBA Draft, despite finishing with a better record than six teams.

Brown, 52, previously had two stints as head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers and one with the Los Angeles Lakers. He most recently worked as an assistant with the Golden State Warriors during the team's run to win the 2022 NBA Finals.
The Kings were led during the 2021-22 season by point guard De'Aaron Fox, who averaged 23.2 points per game with 5.6 assists and 3.9 rebounds. During the 2021-22 season, the Kings traded a package including Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield to the Indiana Pacers to acquire two-time All-Star center Damontas Sabonis.
