The Minnesota Timberwolves needed a big performance from Anthony Edwards on Monday night as they looked to secure a road win at Chase Center in Game 4 of their second-round NBA playoffs matchup against the Golden State Warriors.
That's exactly what the 23-year-old guard delivered, as Edwards went off for 30 points on 11-of-21 shooting, four rebounds, five assists, two steals and six triples in 33 minutes of action.
One of Edwards' most outstanding highlights of the evening came right at the stroke of halftime. The Wolves star hit a contested 30-foot buzzer-beater to cut Golden State's lead to just two points at the break.
The NBA posted the highlight play on X, along with a video of Edwards warming up before the game. The league was blown away by how Edwards pretty much replicated his near-half-court shot from warm-ups to beat the halftime buzzer in Game 4.

The video also shows how Edwards celebrated his half-court shot during warm-ups. After knocking down a shot right on the Warriors' logo at mid-court, the three-time All-Star decided to bust out Steph Curry's famed "Night Night" celebration.
Edwards, though, did not celebrate in the same way during the game--not even after Minnesota had amassed a commanding 20-point lead heading into the fourth quarter.
For his part, Curry had no other choice but to watch from the sidelines. The two-time NBA MVP is still dealing with a lingering hamstring injury, which has also put his status for Game 5 on Wednesday in jeopardy.
The Wolves are now 3-1 up in the series, though, which means it's a do-or-die game for the Warriors on Wednesday. Whether or not this will change their outlook on Curry's availability remains to be seen.
