The New York Knicks have enjoyed plenty of different eras since their inception in 1946.
The mecca of basketball has happened to have seen many superstars and elite talents play in the famous Madison Square Garden.
Still, their trophy shelves house just one NBA championship, having hung a banner in 1973. It's been 52 years since the club reached the pinnacle of the league.
This season, the team has its sights set on the NBA Finals, led by superstar guard Jalen Brunson and his co-star Karl-Anthony Towns.
With a rounded starting lineup, the Knicks entered the season with high hopes. Many were quick to dub the starting lineup the best in the league, too.
New York took down the Phoenix Suns on Sunday -- marking two wins in as many days -- advancing their record to 50-28 through 78 games played.
While Brunson made his return to the hardwood after being sidelined for a month with an ankle injury, the Knicks also accomplished something they haven't done since 1995.
For the first time in three decades, the Knicks have posted back-to-back seasons with 50-plus wins.

Evidently, their rounded starting lineup was able to help get the job done despite their lead guard missing 16 consecutive games.
Now the Knicks' focus should be on finding playoff success, as they've certainly got a talented core but need to put the pieces together at the right time.
With Brunson's injury coming at an abysmal time, the team just has four more games to regain their chemistry and form before the playoffs begin.
