The New York Knicks signed Guerschon Yabusele to a two-year $12 million contract on Tuesday. Following a prolonged absence from the NBA, Yabusele had a great season with the Philadelphia 76ers. He averaged 11 points per game and 5.6 rebounds during the 2024-25 regular season. How will he fit with the New York Knicks?

The New York Knicks had their best season this century. They responded by firing Head Coach Tom Thibodeau following New York’s loss to the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals. Yabusele joins a Knicks team with championship aspirations. With how open the Eastern Conference could be, New York is looking to take the next step.
Yabusele will play alongside Point Guard Jalen Brunson , Center Karl-Anthony Towns, and Forward Josh Hart. Yabusele will provide New York with some depth on the bench as they look to break through in the Eastern Conference next season.
Yabusele will look to build on his career season as a member of the New York Knicks. If the team can reach its full potential, Yabusele will be an integral piece. New York’s depth was an issue for the team. That is no longer the case with the moves they have made during free agency.
