Windler signed with the Knicks over the offseason and only appeared in three games (he averaged 1.0 points per contest).

The 27-year-old spent a lot of time in the G League playing for the Westchester Knicks.

Over five G League games this season, he is averaging 12.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 45.1% from the field and 31.0% from the three-point range.

Windler was initially the 26th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and spent the first three seasons of his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

His career averages are 3.2 points and 2.3 rebounds per contest while shooting 41.6% from the field and 32.5% from the three-point range in 87 regular season games.

Following the news of Windler being waived, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Knicks will sign 14-year NBA veteran Taj Gibson.

As for the Knicks, they are the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 13-9 record in their first 22 games.

They are 6-4 over their last ten games and most recently defeated the Toronto Raptors by a score of 136-130.

Following the Jazz, the Knicks will play their next game on Friday when they visit Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns
