The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday in Luka Doncic's return to Dallas. Doncic put up 45 points against his old team while hitting seven shots from beyond the arc.

The Lakers-Mavericks contest was a hot ticket, as many celebrities were at the game, headlined by Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes, though, wasn't the only NFL player at the game. Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry was in attendance as well and he caught the eye of the leading scorer in NBA history.

During his postgame interview with Mike Trudell of Spectrum Sports Net, LeBron James revealed that he saw Henry at the game and that the Pro Bowler is his "favorite" player in the NFL.

James and Henry met up with each other after the game and Henry sent a message to James on social media.

James played football in high school at St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron, Ohio. During the NBA lockout in 2011-12, the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks offered James a contract.

James is 6-foot-9. He played wide receiver in high school. His football skills help him catch the full-court passes Doncic passes him on the Lakers.

Despite being the oldest player (40) in the NBA, James is still playing at a high level. The four-time Finals MVP is averaging 24.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 8.2 assists while shooting 51.2% from the field, 37.8% from beyond the arc and 78.2% from the free-throw line.

The Lakers are currently in third place in the West. They have two games left in the regular season against the Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers.

Los Angeles needs to win just one of those games to clinch the third seed in the Western Conference playoffs.
