Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic continues to prove that he's one of the best players in the NBA. On Wednesday, Jokic did his all for the Nuggets against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. The three-time MVP had 30 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists, another triple-double. That was insufficient, though, as Denver lost 134-127 in double overtime.
According to StatMuse, Jokic has recorded 17 triple-doubles this season. Despite the defeat, his statline against the Knicks is particularly noteworthy. The Serbian center recorded a career milestone, moving him higher in the all-time triple-doubles list. He continues to impress people with his all-around play.
Jokic's triple-double tied him with NBA legend Oscar Robertson at second place in the all-time list. Both players have 181 career triple-doubles. With his momentum, the Nuggets star could secure himself at the No. 2 spot in the list before the season ends.

The only player who has more triple-doubles than Jokic is Sacramento Kings star guard Russell Westbrook. The 2017 MVP has 207 career triple-doubles. Westbrook had four seasons where he averaged double digits in points, rebounds and assists. This season, the nine-time All-Star recorded four triple-doubles, per StatMuse.
According to The Athletic, Jokic needs 26 triple-doubles to tie the Kings star, 27 to secure the No. 1 spot. But that could change since Westbrook is still active and could post more triple-doubles before the season ends.
Jokic has been sensational this season. For the first time in his career, the eight-time All-Star is averaging a triple-double. Through 35 games, the Nuggets star has averaged 29.1 points, 12.1 rebounds and 10.5 assists. If he continues to play well, the one-time NBA champion could have a serious case to win his fourth MVP.
