Nuggets officially sign Bryce Hopkins to two-way contract

Bryce Hopkins has officially joined the Nuggets.

Hopkins signed a two-way contract with Denver, according to the NBA transactions log. His agents, Mark Bartelstein and Reggie Brown of Priority Sports, also confirmed the deal to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

The Nuggets selected Hopkins with the No. 49 overall pick in June after he spent last season at St. John’s, averaging 13.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals.

He also gave Denver something to think about in summer league. Hopkins averaged 18.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in four games in Las Vegas, shooting his way into a two-way opportunity.

The 23-year-old forward’s college career included stops at Kentucky and Providence before he landed at St. John’s. He also worked his way back from a torn ACL suffered in January 2024, earning second-team All-Big East honors last season.

Denver’s other two-way spots currently belong to KJ Simpson and Julian Reese, though Reese is expected to be waived.

So Hopkins gets his chance. Given what he showed in Vegas, he earned it.
