The Nuggets are bringing in free agent big man Moses Brown for training camp, per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Terms weren’t disclosed, but given that Denver’s G League affiliate in Grand Rapids recently picked up his returning rights, this looks very much like an Exhibit 10 deal.
Translation: Brown will head to camp with a chance to compete for a roster spot, and if he doesn’t make it, the Nuggets can funnel him to the Gold with a bonus in tow.
Brown is 7-foot-2 has six years of NBA experience, putting up career marks of 5.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in limited minutes. He spent most of last season dominating in the G League with Westchester, averaging 17.9 points and 15.7 rebounds.
He also had a quick four-game run with Dallas, where he averaged nearly a double-double.
Denver already added Jonas Valanciunas this summer and will get DaRon Holmes II back from injury. The Nuggets technically have one open roster spot, but they may not fill it right away with the tax line looming.
