The Oklahoma City Thunder are taking on the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night inside the Paycom Center. This is the prime time game on the NBA docket tonight and one of the best regular season matchups remaining. This marks one of, if not the toughest, bouts left on the Oklahoma City Thunder slate.

Oklahoma City has a three game winning streak on the line, turning in a 9-1 record in the last ten games. The Lakers are on a four game winning streak with a 9-1 mark over their last ten games.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are trying to complete a perfect home stand as the team is in a heated race for the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. The team is attempting to stave off the San Antonio Spurs who are in hot pursuit. The Thunder have lost the tiebreaker to the Spurs thanks to their five game regular season series, which makes the current two game gap between these foes feel even tighter.

The issue remains for Oklahoma City that they have the second toughest schedule remaining –– including playing these Lakers twice before season's end –– while the Spurs have the 22nd most challenging slate ahead.

Just before tip-off, it was announced that the OKC Thunder would be without defensive ace Alex Caruso as the two sides revealed their starting lineup for this Nationally Televised tilt on Amazon. The Oklahoma City Thunder get a look at their traditional first five for one of the few time's this season.

Oklahoma City has one last game in this home stand. They host the Utah Jazz on Sunday night inside the Paycom Center before hitting the road for their final road trip of the regular season. A three game West Coast swing starting against the Los Angeles Lakers, L.A. Clippers and Denver Nuggets with the two Los Angeles squads coming on a back-to-back.
