The Oklahoma City Thunder are looking to find their form with new-look lineups.
After playing the majority of the season without Chet Holmgren, they are trying to immerse him into the lineup with Isaiah Hartenstein.
The two 7-footers certainly have the versatile skill sets needed to co-exist in the starting lineup, posing challenges for opposing offenses and defenses alike.
Before Holmgren was sidelined for months when injured early in November, Hartenstein had a hand injury, meaning they weren't able to share the floor for the first time until February.
With that, the two will need some extra time to get their chemistry on the floor down, meaning the Thunder -- 48-11 on the season -- have yet to reach their ceiling on the season.
Currently on a two-game winning streak, both of which coming on the road, the Thunder are set to play their third-straight road game, this time against the San Antonio Spurs.
Ahead of the matchup, the Thunder made a roster move.
While the Spurs might not be as much of a threat following Victor Wembanyama's season-ending injury, the Thunder will still need to be dialed in for the road contest.
Ahead of the matchup, Oklahoma City made a minor roster decision. They recalled forward Dillon Jones from their G League-affiliated Oklahoma City Blue.
"The Oklahoma City Thunder has recalled forward Dillon Jones from the Oklahoma City Blue of the NBA G League," Thunder PR announced on Saturday.
Jones was a recent first-round selection by the club, and he's been thin in the rotation, logging nine minutes per game in 36 appearances off the bench.
The Weber State product has the potential to be a role player, so getting reps in the G League while the main squad is on the road certainly helps.
