Oklahoma City Thunder Point Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a great Western Conference Finals. He capped it off by winning the Western Conference Finals MVP. SGA is the only player in league history to win a regular season MVP and the Western Conference Finals MVP in the same season. This is only the fourth year this award has been given out, but Gilgeous-Alexander is the first to earn this distinction.
Gilgeous-Alexander sent the Minnesota Timberwolves packing in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals with 34 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists. He scored 30+ points in four of the five games against the Wolves. He averaged 31.4 points, 5.2 assists, and 8.2 assists during the Western Conference Finals. How will he play when the Oklahoma City Thunder head to the NBA Finals next week?

The Thunder made history during the Western Conference Finals. They outscored the Minnesota Timberwolves by 31 points in the WCF despite losing Game 3 by 42. That series point differential is 50 points better than any other NBA team that lost a game by 40+ points that series.
Oklahoma City had a dominant series and looked like the dominant team they were during the regular season. After advancing to the Western Conference Finals for the second consecutive season, Minnesota looked utterly overwhelmed on the stage.
The Oklahoma City Thunder get to relax as they await the winner of the Eastern Conference Finals. Indiana holds a 3-1 series lead over the New York Knicks. The Pacers will look to punch their ticket to the NBA Finals tonight on the road tonight in Madison Square Garden. Regardless of which team comes out of the Eastern Conference, Oklahoma City should be the prohibitive favorite.
