An old video of Shaquille O’Neal discussing gas price and gas tank management has gone viral in light of recent energy prices.
Gas prices are through the roof, with people complaining left and right about how much it costs to fill up at the pump. The current state of gas and oil prices led a 2018 video of Shaq and Kenny Smith talking on TNT about gas prices to go viral. Here is the tweet that made the video go viral.
This is — and I can’t stress this enough — the greatest segment to come from a sports broadcast that I have ever seen in my entire life pic.twitter.com/H8sBOZzbhX

Yes, that’s multimillionaire Kenny Smith saying in 2018 he didn’t want to buy a certain type of car because he didn’t want to have to spend $80 to fill up the gas tank. Then Shaq interceded by telling him to just put $20 back in to fill it up every time he got halfway through. That way he wouldn’t have to pay $80 each time at the pump.
Shaq talking about how $20 would fill half a tank when Kenny said the full tank cost $80 was priceless. Then him talking about how he wouldn’t have to fill up as frequently either was great too.
The topic resurfaced on the show last week as well.
