Former Mavericks forward Olivier-Maxence Prosper has found his next stop. The 23-year-old is expected to sign a two-way contract with the Grizzlies, per agents Todd Ramasar and Mike Simonetta via ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Prosper had multiple offers on the table but chose Memphis, a team that had already shown interest in him before Dallas decided to waive and stretch his deal last week. The Mavericks had looked into trade scenarios but were unwilling to attach one of their remaining second-round picks.

Instead, they stretched his contract across three years, clearing space under the second tax apron to re-sign Dante Exum.

A first-round pick in 2023, Prosper never carved out a major role in Dallas. He averaged 3.5 points and 2.2 rebounds in limited minutes across 92 games over two seasons.

His best work came in the G League, where he posted 18.3 points and 7.8 rebounds on strong shooting splits with the Texas Legends.

Now, Prosper gets a fresh start in Memphis, where the Grizzlies will see if his size and shooting can translate into a more consistent NBA role.
